KELSEY + ZACK // ICELAND WEDDING
A waterfall, volcanic crater, black sand beach, two buses full of wedding guests, a tomato farm restaurant inside a greenhouse, a rustic barn in the mountains, and two people very much in love.... Kelsey and Zack's Iceland wedding was definitely one for the books!
The adventure began in Chicago (where Kelsey and Zack live) as all of their friends and family started to arrive at O'hare Airport. All of the excitement was building as big hugs and big laughs were shared, and then everyone was off to Reykjavik!
After spending a few days exploring the city, everyone headed to the mountains for a wedding extravaganza at Hotel Borealis. Kelsey and Zack planned their wedding day on the summer solstice - the longest day of the year - and made the most of every extra minute! (It sure helped that we had 23 hours of daylight!) They shared vows in a beautiful, rustic barn with furs and blankets draped over guest seats, and then took their entire wedding to some of the most epic Icelandic sights. We ended the night with a romantic reception and a midnight trip to their private, secret lagoon. It was absolutely MAGICAL!
Sam and I were so honored to be a part of this wedding. From the minute we met Zack and Kelsey, we felt like family and the wedding was no exception. We were warmly welcomed to every group dinner, shared late night drinks and laughs in the hotel hot springs, dined with their parents, and then exchanged numbers and the biggest hugs with everyone as we said goodbye at the airport. I'm so excited to share these special photos...Kelsey and Zack you are amazing!
