#OurNashvilla // an update

If you follow me on Instagram you've been seeing all sorts of home updates over here! We are slowly but surely trying to settle in and cozy-up our home. We absolutely love it here, and have made our space feel so much like us. But there are always new projects or pieces to add!

The big changes have been to our living room lately, which I always intended to "fill-up" a bit more. Just last week the room looked like this....but scroll down to see the brand new additions!

Last week I also added the softest shag rug to our bedroom, which has made such a difference in the room! Our next project is a DIY headboard (which I've been dreaming about for months) and a plant installation over the bed!

Our offices haven't changed much, but I did add navy velvet pillows to the guest bedroom's couch and am working on a few new pieces of art for my studio.

But then...the living room! I searched high and low for the perfect armchair, and in the end I decided it was more important to have A chair, rather than the PERFECT chair. I'm really happy with the white upholstered style I found, but as soon as we brought it into the room, I knew the old shag rug HAD to go. Luckily I was able to try a few different styles in the room and found my new favorite :)

I loved the light grey turkish rug, but the ultimate winner was black! I just love the size, simplicity and stark contrast this rug gives to the room. Do you think I made the right choice?
