SHELFGENIE // ultimate kitchen organization

We’ve been living in our house for almost 2 years now and I’ve NEVER shared a pic of our kitchen. It’s not that I hate it - I feel so lucky, because it’s huge and not *totally* hideous and I absolutely love every memory we’ve made in here. But you know...it’s just not my style and the space was really dysfunctional. That is…until I started working with ShelfGenie!
They specialize in kitchen organization and had some incredible ideas for a new Glide-Out shelving system in our cabinets. The biggest problem (like, literally the biggest) was our enormous island but total lack of storage. All of our cabinets and drawers are huge, but that just means endless blackholes where pantry items are lost forever. This corner was especially frustrating, so we started here…
When you book a free consultation with ShelfGenie, they’ll send one of their designers (in Nashville, we worked with Charlie Rose) to your home with lots of ideas, product knowledge, and samples. We talked about all of the areas we struggled with (a messy pantry, cutlery and spice storage, and wasted cabinet space) and by the end of our consult, Charlie had a full animated rendering of our new shelving solutions!
After we decided which areas to improve within our budget, Charlie sent the plans to his installer Jason, who came out and measured everything perfectly for the CUSTOM build. I couldn’t believe that every single glide-out was going to be custom-made for our cabinets!
We received updates throughout the entire production and before we knew it, the installation was complete and our whole entire kitchen felt FUNCTIONAL and ORGANIZED!
Here is a list of the final updated Glide-out Shelves we installed:
Custom cutlery drawer (ShelfGenie replaced our two very small original drawers with one large custom drawer organizer!)
Spice drawer-within-a-drawer (our second drawer now has a level of spices above our smaller pots/pans for spices)
Extended bottom drawer for pots and pans
An entirely NEW cabinet with two glide-out shelves in place our old trash pull-out

It’s an absolute dream! All of these updates with ShelfGenie have made such a huge improvement to the functionality of our kitchen and now everything feels so organized! Here’s hoping we can keep it that way :)
